Greenkeeping conservation work

Wed 28 May 2014

Firstly, we would like to welcome our new family of honey bees, with thanks to Mike Gray, on the reservoir bank between the 9th &10th fairways. Please do not enter the enclosure. The bees will not cause any harm as long as they are left alone.

Inbetween the cutting some of the team have been doing some conservation work, you may notice a couple of insect and bumblebee hotels on your way round the course.

As you may have seen several areas around the course have been prepared and have had wildflower seeds sewn in these areas. There are dropzones in place for the areas that are in play. Thanks go to The Grass Group for the lone of the rotavator and their continued support to the club

Andy Baker our Head Greenkeeper has a blog about the work the greenkeepers undertake which is updated weekly and can be found by clicking here.
